As winter passes, summer approaches with higher temperature and more sunshine. According to this website, Metro Vancouver is receiving approximately 3.5 more minutes of sunlight every day for the next little while.
I bookmarked the website to know the time of the sunrise and sunset to incorporate them into my dates. =D

Many Vancouverites would agree with me when I say we have unpredictable weather here. We literally have all four seasons from extreme heat to extreme cold. We have it all here. Today, especially was a tad bit “off” the norm. Spring was officially declared a week ago but weather forecasts say that there are still cold times to come. I suppose today was one of those “cold times.”
The date today is March 28th 2008. And it is snowing! The weather has left us with “what the heck?” “It’s snowing?” and so forth. Here are some pictures from the neighborhood I live in:

Snow has fallen several times this past winter. The snowfall today was strange for two reasons: it rarely snowed 10 years ago and it is snowing in late March. Many people would blame it on Global warming and climate change. What are your views on this?

Weather information has long been considered information vital to the well-being of the general public. Unfortunately, this information often goes unnoticed, and the severity of the warnings presented is frequently understated. Moreover, the manner in which much of the information is presented is difficult to understand and often uses unfamiliar terms.
Today, I like to feature a great weather website for the local Vancouverites. Vancouver WeatherPage has been around for a long time. On their website, they offer a lot of the different weather cameras taken around Vancouver on different high rise buildings. It is pretty cool to see weather change from day to night.
“Founded in 1997, the Vancouver WeatherPage’s primary focus is to bring accurate and timely conditions, forecasts and weather warnings to the general public residing in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Our goal is to make weather information available to the public in a timely and efficient manner.
We also strive to promote interest in the weather and meteorology, and work closely with local weather enthusiasts to better our services. We routinely collaborate with amateur meteorologists and other enthusiasts to collect and archive weather information and document isolated weather incidents.”
