Telus World of Science
Landmarks. By definition, landmarks are places that has important significance or has a distinguished appearance. One of our most famous landmarks is the Telus World of Science. I believe it will be one of the most videoed and photographed landmarks here in Vancouver for the 2010 Olympic winter games.
Currently, the exhibition at the Telus World of Science is Eureka.
Written on their website, Eureka “Explores the science of water, air, light, sound, motion and machines in Science World’s largest and brightest gallery. Ask ‘what would happen if….’ and then find out as you get your hands and mind on open-ended, colourful exhibits.”
Check their website monthly to find out what new exhibition is at the Telus World of Science. Previous exhibitions include Lego Egypt and Body World. Some of these exhibitions might never come back to Vancouver. So don’t miss out! Photos were not allowed in the Body World exhibition but you can check out their coolsome displays at their website.
Aside from the exhibition, there are daily educational programs on center stage, IMAX theater for huge 3-D movies and other areas specializing in different aspects of learning. Shows times can be found on their websites.
General admission for adults is $17.75. Youth, student, and senior rate is $14.50. Meanwhile, children from 4-12 is $12.25. There is a 2 for 1 coupon in the entertainment book to save a bit of money.

Knight Street Construction
Just in case if anyone missed the notice about the Knight Street Bridge repair, it has started last week from June 2nd until July 31th. I go to Richmond alot to workout at my gym. Usually the traffic isn’t too bad on a good weather, but when it rains, the traffic jam is really bad. I suggest everyone try to avoid driving down Knight Street, and try taking side streets all the way to Marine Dr, and take the Marine Dr entrance to Knight Street Bridge. It is alot faster, trust me =)
Article from News1130
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – More construction headaches for drivers using Knight Street–you can expect construction delays on the Knight Street Bridge this summer, as repairs and seismic upgrading work begins on Monday, June 2nd.
TransLink has announced the first major overhaul of the bridge since it was built in 1974. Construction crews will reinforce the bridge piers and foundations, while southbound lanes of the Marine Drive overpass will be resurfaced and bridge deck joints will be replaced.
Most of the work will be done overnight, 10 pm to 5 am Monday to Friday, 10 pm to 8:30am Saturday and 10 pm to 8 am Sunday. The Marine Drive Overpass will be reduced to two southbound through lanes (from the present three) 24 hours per day until July 31st. Work is expected to be complete by mid-October.
There’s already a construction project underway at Knight St. and 49th to create much-needed left-turn lanes.
