Got Talent?
Non-Vancouver news:
I recently came across this video of Susan Boyle and it amazed me. My jaw dropped the moment she started singing. It was remarkable. It made me think of how there is talent in everyone.
The saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” really hit the mark on this one. Contrary to how popular thinking that beauty, youth, and talent are mingled together, Susan Boyle came and blew the world away. She is literally taking the world by storm!
Many of her videos cannot be embedded onto a blog. So here is the direct link to a search of Susan Boyle on Youtube.
Good luck to her throughout the competition!
Here is a video of Paul Potts, winner of 2007 Britain’s Got Talent:
Strawberry Cone
Have heard about this place and always wanted it out and I finally had the chance to do so recently.
Strawberry Cone: Japanese pizza and pasta. Japan isn’t famous for their pizza or pasta so it definitely got me curious as to how it would taste.
Located in Aberdeen Center in Richmond, Strawberry Cone is one of the first food joints when you approach the food court.

My friends and I ordered one pizza and two pastas. Overall, it wasn’t spectacular or great. The pasta was average. It tastes like what it looks like: regular pasta with few pieces of bacon and sauce. The pizza was decent. Maybe we should have ordered a pizza with more toppings…
I consider this experience to be something to cross off my “to-eat” list. Now to move onto the next place to eat.

Olympic Rings
A set of Olympic Rings has been erected near the Vancouver International Airport as a symbol of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. As you can see from the picture, the structure is massive. It is about as the height of a four-floor building.

What I don’t understand is that the Olympic rings have a variety of colors but this one only lights up white LEDs….

Did you know?
I came across this video recently and thought that it provided a different perspective in our ever-changing world. Although it does not directly relate to Vancouver, it is related to the world and its future. Since Vancouver is apart of the world….it is relevant to some degree.
The rate at which things are developed and changing is astonishing. Things that are commonly used today may become obsolete in the near future…
