Vertical Reality Rock Climbing

Had an opportunity to try something different today. My buddies and I had a coupon from the entertainment book and decided to rock climb. It came down to $7.50 CAD per person for 2 hours of drop-in (50% off regular price up to 4 people with coupon). If you don’t have appropriate shoes, you can rent some for an extra $2.00 CAD.

I personally haven’t rocked climbed for ages and it certainly did bring back childhood memories when there were kid parties going on. Despite the place filled with many kids, it did not stop the other adults and us from having fun.

There are many walls to climb that vary at several difficulty levels. We basically harness up and climb. An employee will handle the ropes and lower you back down.

Some walls are more challenging than others and some “rocks” have more “handle spot” for your fingers than others. For example, you see there are many rocks on this wall but most of them has no good gripping area on them.

In sum, if you’re bored and want something to do that is fun and cheap… pick up an entertainment book and go to Vertical Reality. As for me, I’ll definitely go again when I have the time.

Drop-in hours vary from day to day. Climbing courses, membership and party packages are available as well.
